To the ancient Egyptians, the lotus flower represented regeneration, rebirth, and daily transformation. Symbolizing the sun, it is the only flower to close at nightfall, sink beneath the pond water, and climb back to the surface at dawn to reopen. A true collector's piece, this pendant dates back to 1900. It features a natural star sapphire (weighing 11.43 carats) in the center that is surrounded by old mine-cut diamonds (0.60 total carat weight) and pearls. The second frame bursts out from the center with lotus flowers in blue, green, red, and white enamel. The piece is created in 14k yellow gold and is truly an excellent example of art from this period. It comes with a platinum and natural pearl chain.
